Touché Amoré

Touché Amoré is a post-hardcore band from Burbank, California, active since 2007. The group’s line-up includes Jeremy Bolm on vocals, Clayton Stevens and Nick Steinhardt on guitars, Tyler Kirby on bass and Elliot Babin on drums. Earlier members include Tyson White on guitar and Jeremy Zsupnik on drums, and Nick Steinhardt has also played bass in the band.

Style and influences

The band is associated with emo, melodic hardcore, post-hardcore, screamo and hardcore punk. Their songs are known for direct, confessional lyrics, and their sound draws on bands such as Converge, Raein, La Quiete and Pg.99. They are also linked to the screamo revival and to a loose post-hardcore grouping known as “The Wave”, alongside Defeater, La Dispute, Make Do and Mend and Pianos Become the Teeth; Jeremy Bolm also includes Tigers Jaw, Title Fight, Balance and Composure, Former Thieves and Into It. Over It. within that wider circle.

Releases

The band releases studio albums and EPs. Their debut album, ...To the Beat of a Dead Horse, appears in 2009, followed by Parting the Sea Between Brightness and Me in 2011. Their third album, Is Survived By, arrives in 2013, and Stage Four appears in 2016. Lament, the follow-up to Stage Four, is released in 2020 through Epitaph Records.
