Tired Lion

Tired Lion are an indie rock group from Perth, Australia. The band is active from 2010 and is led by the voice of Sophie Hopes, with Matt Tanner, Ethan Darnell and Nicholas Vasey also in the group. Their sound sits within indie rock, with strong guitar-rock and grunge influences, and combines direct melodies with a fuller, more substantial edge.

Career

The band forms in Perth in 2010 and debuts with the single For The Wolfman. In the early part of their career they build a reputation through live shows and develop a following in their home city. They also appear at Homebake, which places them on a larger Australian festival bill.

Recordings

In 2013 Tired Lion work in the studio with producer Andy Lawson on the EP All We Didn’t Know. The release includes the lead single Desperate, which launches to a sold-out hometown crowd. All We Didn’t Know is presented as an introduction to the band’s style, with the interplay between the individual players and the group as a whole forming part of their identity.
