Tim Kay

Tim Kay is a British singer-songwriter working in acoustic and indie-leaning styles. His music is described as melancholic but also uplifting, with influences from Jeff Buckley, Aqualung and Muse. He performs solo and is associated with London’s live music circuit, where he plays at a range of venues.

He is signed to Rhino/Warner Records. Before that, he works at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant in East London as a waiter while gigging in London. Oliver notices him there, and Kay’s song writing gains wider attention through that connection.

Kay’s first single, My World, becomes the theme music for Channel 4’s Jamie At Home series. The track is produced by Marius De Vries, whose credits include work with Madonna, Bjork and David Gray. Jamie Oliver also plays drums on the recording.
