The Whip is a UK electronic dance-rock group from Oldham, active from 2006. The band’s line-up includes Bruce Carter, Fiona “Lil Fee” Daniel and Nathan Sudders.

Style and formation

The Whip work across electronic rock, indie and rock, with a sound associated with electro, dance and electronica. They form in 2006 and are identified as a Manchester-area band in some descriptions, while their origin is Oldham in the United Kingdom.

Releases

In 2006, the band releases Frustration and Trash. In 2007, they issue three singles on different labels: Muzzle No.1, Divebomb and Sister Siam. Their debut album, X Marks Destination, comes out on Southern Fried Records in 2008. A newly recorded version of Trash precedes the album, and a remixed version of the record also appears under the title RemiX Marks Destination.
