Sound and style
The music uses acoustic foundations and includes slide guitar, percussion, accordion and cello. It is described as drawing on a wide range of places and influences, including Sicily, Texas, Mexico, Buenos Aires, London, Dublin, Antananarive and Cape Town. Musical reference points linked to the project include Jeff Buckley, Turin Brakes, Calexico, Nick Drake and Devendra Banhart.
