The Restarts

The Restarts are a London punk band active since 1995. They emerge from the North London squat scene and play a hard-edged style of punk and hardcore built around short, four-chord songs and chunky metal guitars.

Background

The band takes its name from the idea of “back to work” interviews, and their lyrics focus on criticism of the state and other barbed social commentary. They build a reputation in the underground punk circuit through a do-it-yourself approach and a strongly independent stance.

The Restarts consist of Alan Campbell, Robin Licker, Kieran Plunkett and Bram Provoost.
