The Recovery

The Recovery is a UK rock band from Nottingham and Manchester. The group starts as a three-piece and later adds a fourth member. Its line-up includes Brian Sherwood on vocals, Alex Lyman on guitar, Justin Camacho on guitar, Tyler Short on bass and Matty Perea on drums.

Style and activity

The band is associated with alternative rock and post-hardcore, and it is also tagged with ambient and experimental rock. It supports a range of touring acts including Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Raveonettes, Silversun Pickups, Cooper Temple Clause, Young Knives and The Longcut. It also appears on the Jim Beam Music Tour with Little Man Tate, The Motorettes and The Upper Room, and features on the Fred Perry-endorsed Subculture music site as one of the bands to watch.

Recordings

The band releases an album titled I Will Stand On My Own in 2009 and an EP called Architect in 2010.
