The Paul Cook Blues Band

The Paul Cook Blues Band is a London-based blues group active since 2007. The band plays blues, rhythm and blues and blues rock, and builds its repertoire around guitar, vocals, bass, piano, harmonica and drums.

Formation and activity

Established in 2007, the band plays regularly across a wide range of venues and appears at festivals. Its live activity includes hundreds of performances over time, reflecting a long-running gigging schedule.

Festival and live appearances

In 2019, the band appears at Broadstairs Blues Bash, Cambridge Rock Festival, Ealing Blues Festival and several Time Off festivals. In June, it backs UBAS Records labelmate Jim Kahr on his UK tour. In 2020, it plays shows at The Original Ealing Club and Broadstairs Blues Bash, and is announced for the main stage at Ealing Blues Festival. During the period of pandemic restrictions, it also performs an outdoor set at Leo's Red Lion in Gravesend.

Line-up

The band members are Paul Cook on guitars and vocals, Spy Austin on bass, Gavin Ellis on piano, Dave Hallam on harp and Alan Savage on drums.

Recording

The band records in the studio and has a new album planned for release in spring.
