The Operation
The Operation is a Philadelphia group associated with indie rock, emo, post-hardcore and post-hardcore. It functions as a predecessor to mewithoutYou and is often described as the band that came before that group.
Line-up and relation to mewithoutYou
The group includes Greg Jehanian, Christopher Kleinberg, Derek Turnbaugh, Aaron Weiss and Mike Weiss. Greg Jehanian, Aaron Weiss, Chris Kleinberg and Michael Weiss are all part of its known line-up. mewithoutYou begins as a side project connected to this circle of musicians and later becomes the more prominent project, after which The Operation ends.
Release
The Operation releases There is Hope For a Tree Cut Down on Take Hold Records. After that, the group stops soon after as mewithoutYou grows into the main focus.
