The Offenders

The Offenders are an Italian ska group from Cosenza, formed in 2005. The band starts as an Italian 2 Tone, ska and skinhead reggae act led by vocalist and songwriter Valerio, who plays drums in the early period. They remain active.

Early releases and label work

The Offenders build a local following after the release of Rudeboys In A Dancefloor in February 2006. Their second single, Hooligan Reggae, leads to a deal with the German label Conehead Records. The label issues their first full-length album in November 2007. The song also gains attention in the European ska scene.

Touring and later single

While supporting their releases, the band tours widely in Germany and then plays in a number of other countries. In May 2008, Conehead Records releases the 7-inch Wake up Rebels.

The Offenders are associated with ska, skinhead reggae, reggae, punk and skinhead music.
