The Normals
The Normals are a contemporary Christian band from the United States. The group takes its name from Normal, Illinois, and forms around longtime friends who begin playing music together while still in grade school. The line-up includes Cason Cooley, Mark Lockett and Andrew Osenga.
Background and recordings
The band works in an alternative CCM style and releases three studio albums over its run. Its debut album, Better Than This, appears in 1998, followed by Coming to Life in 2000 and A Place Where You Belong in 2002. The group is active until 2003.
Distinguishing note
Another band has also used the name The Normals: a first-wave punk rock group from Jefferson, Louisiana, active from 1977 to 1984.
