The Noise Next Door

The Noise Next Door are a three-piece pop rock group from Hampshire, England, made up of triplet brothers Craig, Scott and Ed Sutton. The brothers are from Leigh Park and are the final three children in a large family that also includes four sisters. Their father, Barry Sutton, is a musician.

Early years

The three brothers start performing together as teenagers, forming a band called Trips at the age of 13. In 2004 they are discovered by John McLaughlin while working in their local ASDA. McLaughlin has written for Busted, Blue and Sugababes.

Singles and recording

The band’s first single is “Lock Up Ya Daughters”, which is released in 2004 and reaches number 12 in the charts. Its B-side, “Ministry of Mayhem”, serves as the theme tune to the CITV television programme of the same name. Their follow-up single, “Calendar Girls”, reaches number 11. They later release “She Might” and “Miss U”, which was originally titled “Dirty Girls”.

Image and album plans

The Noise Next Door are known for their bright red hair, with Craig Sutton’s being especially noticeable. In May 2005 the band changes to a more mature image and cuts off the red hair. They record an album titled Play It Loud, but are dropped from their record label and the album is not scheduled for release.
