The Mercy House

The Mercy House are a London heavy rock group whose sound spans hard rock, heavy metal, alternative metal and progressive metal. In the early part of their career, one of their tracks appears on Classic Rock Magazine’s cover CD, and they win Metal Hammer’s unsigned competition, which leads to a support slot for Biohazard in London. They also receive airplay and praise on Bruce Dickinson’s Friday Rock Show, on BBC 6 Music before the station ends that programme’s run, and they are nominated for New Band of the Year at the 2010 Pure Rawk Awards.

Their lyrics focus on internal politics and the personal pressures of everyday life. Rather than aiming for escapism, they present their songs and live performances as a rallying point for listeners who feel excluded or isolated.
