The Melodic are an English folk ensemble from Brixton, centred on the songwriters Huw Williams and Rudi Schmidt. They form as a group rather than a solo project, and their music is associated with indie pop, folk, indie and rock.

Recording and debut album

Their debut album, Effra Parade, is released in 2014. It is self-recorded over several years in a soundproofed bedroom. The album uses a large arrangement of 18 instruments, giving the group a broad, baroque sound.
