The Lindsay Tin

The Lindsay Tin are a UK group that begins in 2012. The project starts as a collaboration between Paul Christian Patterson, who is also a founder member of the alt-electro act d_rradio and the dark folk group The Dark Sky Singers, and Paul Jeans, the sole member of Jeans goes POP! They start writing together in early 2012 in a small attic room in South Shields, where they develop songs shaped by detailed arrangements and themes centred on the human condition.

Formation and line-up

The group first plays live in July 2012. In January 2013, the duo expands into a five-piece with the addition of Rich James on bass, Jonny Rix on guitar and Dom Murphy on drums. The act remains active from 2012 onwards.

Releases and live activity

The Lindsay Tin self-release their debut single Fire At Will and later issue the Shapeless E.P.. A sold-out show at The Sage Gateshead accompanies the launch of the EP.

Reception

The group receives praise from BBC 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson, as well as from NARC. Magazine, The Crack and Recommended Noise, with comments focusing on their instrumentation, harmonies and understated style.
