The Last Vegas

The Last Vegas is an American rock band from the United States, based in Chicago and originating from Rockford, Illinois; Detroit; Grand Rapids, Michigan; and Chicago. The group consists of Nate Arling on drums, Adam Arling on guitars, Chad Cherry on lead vocals, John Wator on guitars, and Danny Smash on bass.

Style and sound

The band plays rock and roll with hard rock, glam rock, sleaze rock and stoner rock associations. Its sound draws on 1970s hard rock and combines it with a punk rock edge, with guitars and aggressive drumming described as central to its approach.

Releases and recognition

The Last Vegas releases its first record, Lick 'Em and Leave 'Em, through Get Hip in 2003. That release receives critical success and helps the band build a cult following across Europe. The group later records Seal the Deal, which includes “Raw Dog” and the track “The Geomancer”.

Touring and other work

From that period onward, The Last Vegas tours regularly and supports acts including Buckcherry, Urge Overkill, Nashville Pussy and the Cynics. In 2006 the band wins Red Octane’s “Be a Guitar Hero” contest with “Raw Dog” from Seal the Deal.
