The Groanbox Boys are a North American trio made up of Michael Ward-Bergeman, Cory Seznec and Paul Clifford. The group is later known as Groanbox.

Their music is rooted in American traditions and sits close to roots music, americana, alt-country, country and folk, with guitar-driven arrangements. The band is also linked with the musical culture of New Orleans, which is described as a key influence on its direction.

The trio is presented as combining the traditions of American music with the energy of rock and roll and the style of a wandering troubadour.
