The Fins

The Fins are an Australian rock group from the Sunshine Coast, active since 2020. The name has been used by more than one band, but this entry refers to the Sunshine Coast act. They play a rock style built around hard-hitting guitar and drum-driven grooves, with melody-led songs and lyrics that aim to provoke thought.

The group plays live regularly and has performed more than 125 gigs in Australia and overseas. They release music through their own independent label, Numerical Blue, and their debut single appears on that label. The band is also recording material for a full-length album.

Style and activity

The Fins combine driving instrumentation with melodic writing, placing emphasis on rhythm, strong hooks and lyrical content. Their activity since 2020 includes live performance across different locations and ongoing studio work toward an album release.
