The Electric Swing Circus

The Electric Swing Circus is a UK electro swing group based in Birmingham. It forms in 2011 and remains active. Its line-up centres on Miss Bridget Walsh and Tom ESC, and the group is associated with electro swing, nu jazz and swing.

Line-up and formation

The band starts as a six-piece act in June 2011. Its original line-up includes Laura Louise and Bridget Walsh on vocals, Chandra Walker on drums and keyboard, Tom Hyland on guitar, Rashad Gregory on samples, MPC and synths, and Patrick Wreford on electric double bass and bass synth. Former member Eleanor Rose also contributes vocals.

Releases

The Electric Swing Circus releases a preview EP, Penniless Optimist, in September 2011. Its debut album, also titled Electric Swing Circus, follows in May 2013. Eleanor Rose’s vocals appear on both the EP and the self-titled album.
