The Duke Spirit

The Duke Spirit are a London-based rock group formed in 2003. Their music sits within alternative rock and indie rock, and also draws on blues rock, post-punk, and the noise rock and grunge bands of the late 1980s and early 1990s, including The Pixies.

Line-up

The band is formed by Liela Moss on vocals, tambourine, piano and harmonica, Luke Ford on guitar and organ, Toby Butler on bass, and Olly Betts on drums. Dan Higgins later leaves the group, and is not permanently replaced; for touring, the band works with close friends. Marc Sallis is the touring bass player. The group is active from 2003 to the present.
