The Dismissive Attack are a US band from Westerville, active since 2007. They are associated with electronic, electronicore, emo, heavy metal, metalcore and pop, and release music on Attack Attack LLC.

Formation and style

The group forms in 2007 after the end of Y.G.S., which breaks up because of artistic differences. Early on, the band is based in Chesterfield and describes itself as a straight-ahead hard rock group that plays hard and fast as a three-piece.

Their sound draws on hard rock and rock influences, and they are compared with bands such as Fightstar. Named influences include Thin Lizzy, Nirvana and The Goo Goo Dolls.
