The Counterfeit Stones

The Counterfeit Stones are a group active from 1992 to the present. The act uses stage personas that echo well-known rock figures: Nick Dagger is played by Steve Elson, Keef Rickard by Bill Lennon, Charlie Mott by John Prynn, Bryon Jones, Mick Taylor-Made and Ronnie B Goode by David Birnie, Bill Hymen by Alan Mian, and Manfred Mann, Nicky Popkiss and Chuck Ravel by Holger Skepeneit.

The band also credits a large technical team as part of its operation. Its backline technicians are Simon Coldwell and Danny Coldwell, with Andy “Bavers” Bavington assisting. Bill Edis serves as front-of-house engineer, Rich Hill is the on-stage monitor engineer, and other technical staff include Adrian “The Armwrestler” Atterwell, Dave Payphone, Lou, Charlie and Anita, also listed as Marianne Fistfull. Video editing is done by Chris Swanton at De Facto Studios.
