The Contenders

The Contenders are a Norwegian roots rock band. The group is active from 1987 and includes Stein Kulseth, Per Ivar Stræte and Odd Eirik Fleischer.

The name has also been used by other groups, including a two-tone ska band based in Minneapolis that performs between 1999 and 2001 and releases the CD Welcome to the Waking World in 2000, and a pop-punk band formed in Pittsburgh in 2012.
