The Changing Room
The Changing Room is a folk group from Cornwall, active since 2014, led by Sam Kelly and Tanya Brittain. The project centres on Brittain’s narrative writing and Kelly’s vocals, and it works within British roots music and contemporary folk.
Line-up and collaborators
Alongside Kelly and Brittain, Jamie Francis of Stark and Evan Carson of The Willows join the group regularly. Its recording work also involves guest vocalists Jon Cleave of Fisherman’s Friends and Tim Ashton of 3 Daft Monkeys, together with folk musicians Kevin McGuire on double bass, John McCusker on whistle and violin, and Jennifer Crook on harp.
