The Bloody Beetroots

The Bloody Beetroots is an electronic music project from Bassano del Grappa, Italy, active since 2005. The project is led by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, an Italian musician and producer, and is associated with Tommy Tea and Simone Cogo. It works across bass house, club, dance, dance-punk, drum and bass and dubstep, and its music also bridges electro, punk rock and dance.

The project gains international attention for combining electronic production with live instruments. Its visual identity includes the TBB mask, which becomes closely tied to the act’s public image.

Among its best-known tracks is “Warp 1.9”, recorded with Steve Aoki. Its albums include Romborama, Hide and The Great Electronic Swindle. The Bloody Beetroots also releases material on Fuzz O Rama.

Rifo collaborates with a wide range of artists, including Paul McCartney, Tommy Lee and Jet, and performs alongside acts such as Snoop Dogg, Metallica, The Prodigy and Kanye West. The project’s live shows often include multimedia elements and continue to build its reputation on festival stages and in smaller venues.

Outside recording and performance, Rifo also engages in activism, particularly environmental causes.
