The Blame

The Blame is a punk band formed in 2006 by Can Talaz and Berca B. Kantarcıoğlu. Soon after, Onur Altınay joins the group, followed by Bahadır Sarp, who comes in after unsuccessful attempts to find a guitarist. The band then performs for a period with a single guitar before Oğuz Arslan joins after being found through an internet advert, filling the rhythm guitar role.

Line-up and development

With this line-up, the band plays a number of concerts, mainly with cover songs, before beginning to write its own material. Can Talaz later leaves and is replaced by Aykut Özen. The band’s first recording with this line-up is produced by Deniz Tuncer of Saints’N' Sinners, and it continues to work on new material.

The group’s listed lineup includes Enver C. Yılmaz on vocals, Bahadır Sarp on lead guitar, Onur Altınay on fretless bass/bass, Kaan Afacan on rhythm guitar, and Berca B. Kantarcıoğlu on drums.

Other act with the same name

There is also a Staten Island punk band called The Blame, active since the late 1980s, with Phil Cadaver on guitar and vocals, Danny Zero on bass, Joe Joe on drums, and Johnny C on second guitar. Phil Cadaver is also the owner of Future Star Studios and a producer for Industrial Television.
