The Beautiful Sleazy

The Beautiful Sleazy are a British group associated with psychedelic rock and formed in late 2008. They are based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire, and the line-up consists of Dan Cahill on vocals, Trevor Crisp on guitar, James Dove on bass and Sam Robertson on drums.

Recording and releases

The band releases music on its own label, Deadset Records. Their debut album, All Fired Up, is recorded, mixed and produced by Vinny Burns at Viper Room Studios and released in January 2011. Mastering is by Jon Astley, and the album includes Hammond and Moog parts on three tracks by Don Airey.

Collaborations and live work

Vinny Burns is identified with Dare, Ultra-Vox and Asia, while Jon Astley has work credits with The Who, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Pretty Things and Judas Priest. Don Airey is also associated with Deep Purple, Rainbow and Ozzy Osbourne. The Beautiful Sleazy support acts including The Rifles, Humanzi, Crocodiles, The Heartbreaks, The Chapman Family, O Children and Tim Burgess.

Style and activity

The group is described as a modern psychedelic rock band. Their activity includes plans for UK touring and festival appearances during 2011.
