The 88 are a Los Angeles group formed in 2003. They play alternative rock, indie pop and power pop, and are active in the city’s indie rock scene.

Line-up

The group includes Adam Merrin and Anthony Zimmitti. In its original line-up, Keith Slettedahl sings and plays guitar, Merrin plays keyboards, Todd O'Keefe plays bass guitar and Zimmitti plays drums.

Releases and work

The band releases five albums: Kind of Light, Over and Over, Not Only...But Also, This Must Be Love and The 88. It also provides the soundtrack to the 2012 film The Lorax.

Notable song

Its song At Least It Was Here serves as the theme song for the American sitcom Community.
