Terminal

Terminal is a rock band from Mansfield, United States, active from 2004 to 2006. The group is also identified as a Texas-based rock band and is associated with Dallas in its own account of the band’s origin.

Style and recordings

The band plays a sound rooted in progressive metal, alternative rock, alternative metal and emo, with songs described in terms of contrast between cathartic, soaring passages and fragile, delicate ones, while keeping a strong sense of intensity. It is compared with acts such as Jimmy Eat World, Further Seems Forever and Recover.

Its debut album, How the Lonely Keep, appears on Tooth & Nail Records and establishes the group’s recorded output.

Line-up and later projects

The group has five members: Lucas Starr, Ryan Conley, Matt Lucas, Travis Bryant and James Erwin. After Terminal ends in 2006, Ryan Conley, Lucas Starr and James Erwin join the metalcore band Oh, Sleeper, while Travis Bryant continues with solo work and also fronts Goodbye Tomorrow, later known as Alive In Wild Paint.
