Tatanka

Tatanka is the hardstyle project of Valerio Mascellino, an Italian DJ and producer from Italy. He is associated with hardstyle and is also linked to the groups Wild Motherfuckers and Tat & Zat.

Career

Mascellino begins working with dance and house music around 1993, after first encountering the scene and starting to mix records with a friend who helps organise private parties for students. In 1995 he takes a residency at the Alhambra Club, playing Sunday afternoons. Two years later he begins collaborating with Radio Mare Imperiale, which leads to gigs at the Imperiale di Tirrenia in Pisa. About a year after that, he starts playing in nightclubs.

Aliases and label work

He operates under a large number of aliases, including Zanza Labs, Tatact, Tatarola, The Stomper, Pastaman, Bison, LiquidFighters, PokoPunk, Kam and Kx3. He also owns the label Zanzatraxx.
