Tall Ships

Tall Ships are a British band from Falmouth, United Kingdom. The group is active between 2009 and 2017 and is a three-piece act, with Matt Parker and James Elliott Field among the members. Their music is described across a range of styles including math rock, melodic hardcore, dance-punk, experimental, experimental rock and rock.

Career and releases

The band forms in Falmouth, Cornwall and later live in Brighton. They begin as an experimental loop band and build a reputation around live activity and recorded releases. Their debut EP is released in February 2010, and a track from it, “beanieandoger”, features on an NME daily download feature. The first 250 copies sell out on pre-order, followed by the next numbered batch. A second EP, There Is Nothing But Chemistry Here, follows in October 2010 on Big Scary Monsters and Blood and Biscuits. Its track “Chemistry” also appears on an NME daily download feature.

The band tour with Minus the Bear and Tubelord, and also travel in Europe to support 65daysofstatic. Their debut album, Everything Touching, is released in October 2012.
