Tal National

Tal National is a Nigerien band from Niamey, Niger, and it is active from 2000 to the present. The group works in afro rock and is associated with FatCat Records. Its line-up includes Almeida, Babaye, Biri, Keljue, Longueur, Luthord, Massaoudou, Maty, Omar, Seydou, Souleymane, Tafa and Yac Tal.

The band is widely known in Niger, where its music appears heavily on national television. Despite that profile, it also sells CDs on roundabouts in Niamey, reflecting the lack of a distribution system in the country. Each year, the group undertakes national tours across Niger, travelling about 18,000 kilometres and performing in more than forty cities.
