SYN:DROM

SYN:DROM is a death metal group from Sundsvall, Sweden. It forms in 2002 and remains active, with the same line-up in place since the beginning.

Style and influences

The band starts with a sound described as Swedish death/thrash with melodic elements, and its later influences include Nile, Decapitated, Vader, Morbid Angel and Strapping Young Lad. Its material sits within death metal and also connects to technical and brutal death metal.

Recordings

The first demo, Dead Silent Screaming, draws strong responses and reviews from listeners around the world. In 2004 the group records 12 songs, including “Black Crown” and “Human Harvest”, which appear on its MySpace page. That session is not fully mixed for release, and the band plans to re-record some of those songs alongside new material.

Working method

SYN:DROM is noted for writing slowly and carefully, spending significant time on each song rather than producing large numbers of tracks quickly.
