Formed in late 2006 and based in St Albans the Swanvestas describe themselves as “the inauthentic sound of cuba”.
At least a 10 piece sometimes more the mixture of indie covers, original tracks and latin staples has been heard at festivals including Rhythms Of The World (Hitchin) The Exmoor Folk Festival, Kaleidescope and St Albans Festival.
This year they will be playing at other festivals including St Michaels (St Albans) and the Two Rivers Festival (Chepstow).
the First official mini album “Never Mind The Bongos” (SVSC001) was released in March 2008.
