Swanvesta Social Club
Swanvesta Social Club forms in late 2006 and is based in St Albans. The group describes its sound as “the inauthentic sound of Cuba” and performs with at least ten members, sometimes more. Its set includes indie covers, original songs and Latin staples.
The group appears at festivals including Rhythms of the World in Hitchin, the Exmoor Folk Festival, Kaleidoscope and the St Albans Festival. It also plays at St Michaels in St Albans and the Two Rivers Festival in Chepstow.
The first official mini album, Never Mind The Bongos (SVSC001), is released in March 2008.
