Sun is a United States R&B, disco and funk group from Dayton, active from 1976 to 1988. It is a large ensemble with a long membership list that includes Tony Allen, Robert Arnold, BBIII, Thomas Black, Donovan Blackwood, Nigel Bolton, Breck Bombeck, André Butler, Byron Byrd, Keith Cheatham, Dean Francis, Alfie Harrison, Bruce Hastell, Alfred Holbrook, Curtis Hooks, Larry Houston, Dean Hummons, Chris Jones, Mitch Kenny, Gary King, Ernie Knisley, Pete Lemarr, Joey Lobo, Hollis Melson, Raymond Moss, Roger Parker, Sheldon Reynolds, David Shawn Sandridge, Sonnie Talbert, Don Taylor, Anthony Thompson, Kym Yancey and John Wagner.
