Summer Camp
Summer Camp are an English indie pop and synth-pop duo formed in 2009. The group consists of Elizabeth Sankey and Jeremy Walmsley, and they are based in London.
Formation and early identity
The duo forms after deciding to cover The Flamingos’ I Only Have Eyes for You. At first, they do not reveal their identities and present themselves as six Swedish teenagers. Their real names later become public through a report in The Stool Pigeon.
Releases
Their debut single, Ghost Train, is backed with Montgomery Avenue 1984 and appears on Moshi Moshi’s Singles Club in April 2010. In September 2010, they release the Young EP, followed by a series of singles. Their debut album, Welcome to Condale, follows in 2011.
Style
Summer Camp are associated with indie pop, contemporary R&B, new wave and synth-pop.
