Stevie Jones is a musician from Northamptonshire who begins with busking and floor spots at folk clubs in his native Northants. In the 1990s he spends two years living in Germany, where he gigs extensively, and he also plays in Dublin on the city’s open mic scene. Those experiences shape his later work and bring together a range of influences.

For the last four years described in the biography, Jones performs with guitarist Mark Gill. The pair build a reputation in the East Midlands as a live act and support artists including Nick Harper, Ian McNabb, Slaid Cleaves and Chris Helme. They also host their own open mic nights and showcases, and appear at Leicester events including Big Session and Summer Sundae.

The duo release a debut album, New Life, which receives favourable reviews and radio and press coverage. The track “Million Miles” reaches number two in The Weekender BBC Radio Northampton listeners’ chart. Jones also releases an acoustic download album, Weather The Storm, and records a live album and DVD at The Musician in Leicester after playing The Big Session Festival at De Montfort Hall and Gardens.

Jones also performs with Janet Robin during her UK tours in 2013 and 2014. He is associated with Rude Pravo, El Hombre Trajeado and Brother Strut.
