Speed

Speed is a Japanese pop group formed in 1996. The group consists of four members: hiro, Eriko Imai, Takako Uehara and Hitoe Arakaki. hiro and Eriko Imai act as the group’s two main vocalists.

The group debuts with the single “Body & Soul” and goes on to win multiple Japan Gold Disk Awards, including New Artist of the Year, Pop Album of the Year and Song of the Year. After disbanding in early 2000, the members pursue solo work, with hiro becoming the most notable solo artist. Speed reunites temporarily in 2001 for “One More Dream” and returns again in 2003 for new material as part of the “Save the Children” charity project.
