Soulwax

Soulwax is a Belgian indie, rock and electronic group from Ghent, active since 1993. The band is headed by brothers David and Stephen Dewaele and has operated across alternative rock, dance-punk, electroclash, electro house, electronic and indie rock.

The group is known for its work both as Soulwax and through related projects, especially 2 Many DJs, Fucking Dewaele Brothers and Radio Soulwax. It is also associated with the label Soulwax. The line-up includes, among others, Piet Dierickx, Stefaan Van Leuven, Kurt Huyghe, Helmut Van den Meersschaut, Stéphane Misseghers, Inge Flipts, Dave Martijn, Steve Slingeneyer, Bent Van Looy, Igor Cavalera, Blake Davies, Laima Leyton and Victoria Smith.

Soulwax are noted for the album As Heard On Radio Soulwax, Pt. 2 and for a large number of official and unofficial remixes, including Daft Punk tracks such as “Daft Punk Is Playing at My House” and “Robot Rock”, as well as “DARE”. The group also performs as part of Radio Soulwax events and has presented shows that move between live band performance and DJ sets.
