Sons of Habit

Sons of Habit is a folk and indie folk group from Owensboro, Kentucky, active since 2024 and signed to Lucille Records. The band takes its name from the trailer where the four-piece first began making music on land in Habit, Kentucky, a place associated with lead singer Mitchell Douglas’s home.

The group forms around Douglas, his writing partner Hagan Edge, Dalton Daniels and Jeffrey Parish. All four members grow up in Owensboro, and their shared history gives the band a close musical connection. Before making music together, they follow different work paths, including accounting, forklift sales and mechanic work, before coming together as Sons of Habit.

Their music reflects these informal beginnings, and their live performances are described as showing a natural chemistry developed through that shared background.
