Snowapple

Snowapple is an Amsterdam-based collective active since 2013. It is a group known for mixing alternative pop, art rock, folk and pop, and it is described as a trio centred on three voices.

Members

The group’s voices are Una Bergin, Laurien Schreuder and Fanny de Ruiter. Bergin is a jazz singer with an interest in world music. Schreuder is an opera singer. De Ruiter is a classically trained singer who has performed at Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw before joining Snowapple.

Recording style

Snowapple’s self-titled début album brings together dreamy folk and melodic pop. Its sound is compared to artists including The Be Good Tanyas, Fleet Foxes, Anais Mitchell and Edith Piaf.
