Small Words

Small Words are a five-piece band from Halifax, West Yorkshire. They form at high school in 2009 and play regularly in their hometown, including pubs and clubs. The group is fronted by singer-songwriter Patrick McCallion.

Line-up

The other members are Matt McGregor on piano, Tom Kaye on drums, John Finnerty on lead guitar, and Jack Walsh on bass guitar.

Style and repertoire

Small Words are known for catchy songs and a cheerful performance style. After starting out with cover versions and a small number of their own songs, they develop a larger original repertoire with a pop-rock, punky and slightly cheesy feel. The band also has a mascot called Luv Duk.
