Skylarks

Skylarks are a South African vocal group active since 1956. The group is made up of Abigail Kubeka, Mummy Nketle, Mary Rabotapi and Sam Ngakane, and they are associated with the 1950s South African vocal group tradition.

The name also appears in other musical contexts, including a post-rock and drone act from Iowa led by Preston Clopton, who independently releases a demo called Mystic Man. Another reference describes the Skylarks as a South African jazz band.
