Sinister

Sinister is a Dutch death metal band from Schiedam, Netherlands. The group is active from 1989 to the present and is associated with death metal, old school death metal, brutal death metal and technical death metal.

History and line-up

The band forms in 1989 and is later reassembled in 2005. Adrie Kloosterwaard handles vocals from 2005 and also plays drums in the earlier period from 1988 to 2003. Bas van den Bogaard is part of the 2005 reformation and plays bass. The listed members also include Michel Alderliefsten, Paul Beltman, Mike van Mastrigt and Alex Paul.

Recordings

Sinister releases thirteen full-length albums by 2017. Its studio albums are Cross the Styx (1992), Diabolical Summoning (1993), Hate (1995), Aggressive Measures (1998), Creative Killings (2001), Savage Or Grace (2003), Afterburner (2006), The Silent Howling (2008), Legacy of Ashes, The Carnage Ending (2012), The Post-Apocalyptic Servant (2014), Dark Memorials (2015) and Syncretism (2017).

EPs and singles

The band also releases Putrefying Remains / Spiritual Immolation (1990), Sinister (1990) and Bastard Saints (1996) as EPs or singles.
