Simon Friend

Simon Friend is a musician from the United Kingdom best known for being a member of the Levellers. In that group he plays guitar, mandolin, banjo and harmonica. He also performs solo shows.

Before becoming known as a performer, he works as a roadie for New Model Army. As a child, his first instrument is the trumpet. He also releases a solo album at a young age, although it is difficult to find.

Friend also performs in Drunk in Public, alongside Mark Chadwick, Jon Sevink and Rev Hammer. The project gives acoustic shows. He is also a member of the Freeborn John Theatre Company and Reservoir Frogs.

His best-known songs are The Boatman, Battle of the Beanfield and Elation.
