Sick Individuals

Sick Individuals are a DJ and production duo from Hilversum, the Netherlands, made up of Rinze Hofstee and Joep Smeele. Active since 2010, they work in house and electronic dance music, with a particular association with progressive house and big room house.

Career

The duo builds its profile through original productions, remixes and live performances. Their track “I AM” with Axwell becomes a major success, and “Blueprint” with Dannic reaches number one on Beatport’s dance chart. These releases help establish them among the newer names associated with the Dutch big room house scene.

They also produce reworks for Icona Pop’s “I Love It”, NERVO and Hook N Sling’s “Reason”, and Rihanna and David Guetta’s “Right Now”. Their music appears on labels including Big Beat/Atlantic, Virgin, Axtone, Spinnin’, Armada, Interscope, EMI and Size Records, and their listed labels include NEWMADE and Sick Individuals Entertainment BV.

Live work

Sick Individuals also perform at major dance events, including Sensation. Their output and shows are presented as part of an energetic club-focused style built around house music and festival-oriented dance productions.
