Shoes and Socks Off
Shoes and Socks Off is the lo-fi solo project of Toby Hayes, who previously plays in Meet Me in St Louis and also serves as former bassist in Shield Your Eyes. The project works in acoustic, indie and folk territory.
Releases
Hayes records a debut acoustic album, From the Muddy Banks of the Melitzer, which is released on Big Scary Monsters Records. It is followed by Hand-reared Suburban Piglet, a second album built from the same ten songs but re-recorded with full orchestration. That record brings in a number of Hayes’ musical friends, who help rework the material in a different direction. A third album, Where The Skyline Is Fortified With Windows And Doors, is also set for release on Big Scary Monsters.
