SHINERS are a band associated with what they describe as “Britwave”, a style shaped by Britpop and New Wave. Their sound draws on the influence of their parents’ New Wave records and combines elements of British rock, late-1960s psychedelia and 1980s New Wave.

Their music is described as taking cues from the aggression and tension of bands such as The Stranglers and Elvis Costello, alongside observational lyrics about contemporary life.
