Seachange

Seachange are an indie rock band from Nottingham, United Kingdom. The group forms in 1998 and is active until 2007.

Line-up

The original line-up includes Dan Eastop on vocals, Adam Cormack on guitar, Dave Gray on guitar, James Vyner on bass, Simon Aldcroft on drums and Johanna Woodnutt on violin. Woodnutt leaves the band in 2004 and Neil Wells, also known as Line, replaces her; he plays multiple instruments. The group’s members are Johanna Woodnutt, Simon Aldcroft, Adam Cormack, Dan Eastop, Dave Gray, James Vyner and Neil Wells.

Recordings

Their debut album, Lay of the Land, is released in 2004 on Matador Records. A second album, On Fire, with Love, follows in 2006 on the German label Glitterhouse. In 2007 the band records a farewell live album, Disband in Bonn, which is also released by Glitterhouse. It is recorded at the Harmonie in Bonn and includes songs from both albums, as well as B-sides and the previously unreleased track “Half A Love”.

Split and later activity

In March 2007, Seachange announce that they are splitting up. By that point they have released three full-length records and two EPs. Their final release is a free download compiling recordings from across their career.
