Sam Akpro is a singer, songwriter and producer from London. Born in 2001, he develops a sound that draws on rock, jazz, dub and reggae, and is associated with country, folk, alternative, electronic and R&B influences.

He releases a string of EPs and singles and receives coverage from The Line of Best Fit, The Fader, DIY, The Times, So Young, NME, DMY, Clash, Notion, Wonderland and The Face. The Face includes him in its list of seven names to know for the summer of 2024. His music also receives radio play from BBC 6 Music’s Mary Anne Hobbs and BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders.

Akpro performs with a band and builds a following for a live show described as intense and intimate. He appears at festivals including Green Man, Pitchfork Paris, Outbreak, Left of the Dial and Reeperbahn.
